Hot Weather <\/strong>(update February 2024)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To assist Players and Venue Managers in determining whether the forecast for Hot Weather may be a factor, they should go to the Bureau of Meteorology website www.bom.gov.au\/sa\/forecasts\/adelaide.shtml at 4.00 pm the day before<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Hutt Road games the Adelaide Metro area forecast<\/strong> is to be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For suburban or country clubs, a forecast for the relevant area<\/strong> may be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Tournament or Venue Manager may allow play to continue only if the actual temperature is clearly less than forecast.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Pennants and other competitions played on a sessional basis:<\/strong>
 
\u2022 When the forecast temperature is over 32\u00b0 but not over 34\u00b0<\/strong>, the first two sessions can be played, provided they finish no later than 1.30 pm<\/strong>.
\u2022 When the forecast temperature is over 34\u00b0 but not over 36\u00b0<\/strong>, the first session can be played, provided the session will be finished by 11:00 am<\/strong>.
\u2022 No daytime games <\/strong>should be played when the forecast temperature is over 36\u00b0<\/strong>, unless the Tournament Manager is satisfied that appropriate risk mitigation strategies can be employed.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For events not played on a sessional basis:<\/strong>

\u2022 When the forecast temperature is over 32\u00b0 but not over 34\u00b0<\/strong>, games will be played, but they should finish no later than 1.30 pm<\/strong>.
\u2022 When the forecast temperature is over 34\u00b0 but not over 36\u00b0<\/strong>, no play is suggested between 11.00 am and 7.00 pm<\/strong>. Games that are not likely to finish before 11 am should not be started.
\u2022 No daytime games <\/strong>should be played when the temperature is over 36\u00b0<\/strong>, unless the Tournament Manager is satisfied that effective risk mitigation strategies can be employed. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
